D’Arbonne Lake is located in North Louisiana’s Union parish close to the Arkansas line. D’Arbonne is fed by D’Arbonne Bayou, Corney Creek Bayou, Stow Creek and lots of other streams and creeks running through the area. The lake has fifteen thousand acres of water and is known for the best tasting blue Channel catfish around. Bass, White Perch and Bream are also plentiful on this lake. There are lots of duck hunters there too.
Jet Skies are allowed anywhere on the lake but there are spots that are better than others to ride them because of the fishermen. Around the bridge is the place that is for the jet skies and water skiing. The Channels are marked clearly so that you can always tell where you are going.
Lake D’Arbonne has a new State Park off Hwy 2 with swimming and camping areas along with cabins to rent or bring your camper. Go for a day or a weekend. The park is beautiful.
